our tagaytay escapade 8.29.09

my husband and i woke up around 445am kasi 6am ang kitakits time namin. will be meeting flora , jhen and nicko at starmall edsa pra on the way na lang to SLEX. We arrived at the meeting place past 6 na and flora is waiting na sa may entrance ng mall ( wow ang aga ni flor!) then We waited for a couple of minutes for jhen and nicko, well kc naman malayo pa pinanggalingan nila hehe. On our way to tagaytay, non stop ang chikkahan, while my hon's is driving natatawa na lang sya sa kadaldalan ni flora nd jhen.
We plan to have our breakfast in picnic groove , but problem is i was the one assigned to bring hot water and i forgot! sobrang bad ko. hahaha. but sabi ko nga ikaw ba naman pg lutuin ng omellet and pagawain ng tuna spread!!! hahaha. but then i dont feel guilty at all kc di naman cla masyado nag cocoffee. That was my idea naman to bring thermos all the way to tagaytay lol.
Well we arrived at picnic groove around 730 na cguro un. Entrance fee is 50/pax and 35/parking fee, and small cottage is 150. Picture picture while having our breakfast.. sobrang kukulit namin while the 2 boys are quite lang hehehe..and nicko is our official photographer for that day.. oh di ba sosyal namin husband ko ang driver and husband naman ni jhen ang photographer... We were not able to see a clear vision ng taal volcano dahil sa fog..and another thing hindi masyado malamig that day =( but its ok at least di umuulan.
ikot ikot kami sa picnic groove and as we reminice hindi na sya ung dati na picnic groove prang lumiit na sya maybe because may mga commercial estblishment na nanandon w/c is wala naman before. Me and Jhen wanted to try the zipline when we were planning our tagaytay getaway, excited pa ako nun. But everything change nun nandun na ako.. nakakatakot pala.I told nga jhen na parang ayaw ko na.. but jhen and flora convince me to try it.waaaaaa, i was so scared! imagine 300ft off the ground! nag tapang tapanagan na lang ako kahit takot na takot ako... i just ask jhen na sabay kami and 'hawak kamay' kami.. hahaha..and in less than 20 secs tapos na sya.It was fun naman tawa kami ng tawa pag baba and medyo nanginginig pa ko sa takot lol. but its worth the experience naman. and yes i conquer my fear of heights. yey! and that's php200 pla for a one way ride check http://tagaytayzipline.com/
After that, we decided to go to palace in the sky, magpapagutom muna kami before we had our eat- all- u- can lunch.lol
Nothing much at palace in the sky, aside from the old abandoned building that the marcoses built way back when they were still in the position,well the scenic view was great, as if your at the highest peak in tagaytay. picture -picture pa rin and kulitan while walking and nang nagutom na kami we went to josephines na.
We just read some blogs na Josephines was a great place and have this buffet lunch for P320 lang( but its P350 na pala). And so we tried, it was a nice and cozy place.but that was the main resto, the buffet is at the garden, maganda din sya it was like your attending a wedding reception. Food was ok for me but not that great. They had kare-kare, chicken adobo, lechon kawali, vegies, lumpia and i forgot na the other dish..they have 2 soup , the one i tried was sinigang and its good naman.for dessert halo halo is never ata nawala sa mga buffet hehe.. fresh fruits like papaya, pineapple( w/c we expect to be sweet, but its not) watermelon.theres also some leche plan, cassava and bibingka. Sa dami ng food na nakikita ko, pra na kong nabusog agad heheh.. that's the reason why am not a big fan of buffet, madali ako nabubusog and konti lang ang serving na kaya ko. we spent cguro mga almost 2hrs sa resto , of course taking some pictures, were lucky dahil from there veranda you can clearly see the taal volcano.. and btw jhen and flora eating ice cream kahit busog na busog na. hahaha. ang lakas ng trip ng dalawa.
Next stop is Calaruega Church, on our way to the chucrh medyo naligaw pa kami ng konti heheh. The place was so beautiful, i didnt expect na ganun sya kaganda, especially when we saw ung garden and mga koi fish. The place was enchanting , peaceful good for meditation and if u just want to relax and have some 'muni-muni'.=)
After calaruega we went to sonya's garden, its a restricted place but we wanted to get in just to see the place so deretso lang kami ng lakad heheh. It was a nice place, and maybe next time we'll have our spa at sonya's.
Our last stop is bag of beans, we were looking for some ube jam sana. but we cant find one.
We wanted sana to have some bulalo for dinner but everyone is still full from our buffet lunch, so we just decided to head home, coz it almost 6pm na din.. pagod na din lahat especially our driver/my husband hehe.
Nakakapgod but indeed masaya, that was my first road and food trip with jhen and flora since i dont remember the last time =) Surely this getaway will have its second part, but maybe nxt time it will be an overnyt stay pra mas masaya.

yey! at last... after days of thinking on setting up my own blog.. now its here!! so excited to post some of my thoughts, adventures, cooking experiments lol hehehe...oh well hope i can write more often here.
